Music
I listen to a lot of different music—my taste runs wide. Lately I’ve had the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack on repeat, especially "Free" and “What It Sounds Like”, such power and timely lyrics. I also love EDM and bass-forward stuff; Sub Focus is a favorite in that space "Tidal Wave" is a favorite. For something spare and gutting I reach for Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For”. I turn to Bad Bunny when I want reggaetón energy, Spanish-language hooks, and drums that hit hard.
I've been really feeling Ed Sheeran ("I See Fire", "Sapphire", "Camera"), and Myles Smith ("Wait For You", "Nice To Meet You") lately, the earnestness of the lyrics and the emotion of their songs are really resonating. A big fan of Lady Gaga from "Just Dance" to "Rain On Me" and "Hold My Hand", from fun funky beats to empowering and emotional lyrics.
For me, lyrics are the star of the show, I’ll replay a track for the words as often as for the melody. That’s a big part of why I follow songwriters across genres.
